The last week, we had a short run of clear nights, but not astronomically dark, with the moon sitting nicely in the evening sky, quite low above the horizon, drowning a bit in the seeing. I managed to capture the moon nearly 10 days in a row (only 2 days missing). The first 2 nights only with the DSLR), the remaining 6 images, going from 18% to 88%, all captured in an identical way with my TS94 scope, processing on all images handled in an identical way, stacking in AutoStakkert with 1.5 drizzle, up scaling and stretching the image, wavelet-sharpening with RegiStax and a small additional pass of MultiLineairTransformation in PixInsight. I made the scope based images into a composite sequence, losing a bit of the sharpness of the individual images, so I’m also supplying the individual moon-images separately. On the other ‘social media’, I tried to make this into an animation, using some simple techniques, showing how the moon was waxing over the span of the 10 days. Would love to be able to make a full sequence and have the moon really morphing around.

Views by Submitters (available since September 19th, 2023) Every image is assigned to 50% of available Submitters. In the event that at least 80% of them don't view the image before its time in the IOTD/TP process expires, it's assigned to the other 50% of Submitters and the process begins anew.
Promotions by Submitters When 3 distinct Submitters promote the image, it moves on to the next stage of the process: evaluation for Top Pick status. This requirement, in addition to anonymization of images and distribution to only a subset of them, prevents biases and ensures that the best images are selected.
Promotions by Reviewers When 3 distinct Reviewers promote the image, it moves on to the next stage of the process: evaluation for IOTD status.
Early dismissal Staff members have a lot of images to inspect on a daily basis, and they can dismiss images if they believe they don't meet the requirements for IOTD/TP selection. If an image is dismissed 5 times, it's removed from the process. This streamlines the process and ensures that any bias present in promotions could be overruled by other staff members.
